Biography: DC-Bd, BC-BLA
Atul Uchil, PhD(email) serves the US Coast Guard Auxiliary as the Deputy Department Chief of the B-Department in the Recreational Boating Safety Directorate. Dr. Uchil is also a qualified Instructor and Vessel Examiner. In the past, he has also served in several flotilla, division and national level positions.
Prior to founding Uchil, LLC, Dr. Uchil spent over eighteen years in a variety of senior management roles at several large consulting organizations. In addition to his PhD in Business Operations Management Dr. Uchil also holds an MBA in Consulting Operations Management, a BSEE in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Dr. Uchil's doctoral degree is apostilled by US Secretary of State, General (Ret.) Colin L. Powell and bears his signature and seal.
Dr. Uchil is a lifetime member of the Chartered Institute of Professional Management (CIPM), a lifetime member of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), a lifetime member of National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and serves on the board of Directors for Young Ladies of Tomorrow, Inc. a DC based not for profit organization. Dr. Uchil also serves on the Board of Advisors for The Data Research Group, Inc., a Northern Virginia based Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business.

Dr. Uchil is married to Patricia, a talented artist and muralist. They live in Virginia Beach; have a grown daughter and a son in high school. They can be found cruising on the lower Chesapeake Bay and Coastal Atlantic waters in their 36-foot Islander Yacht or fishing the same waters in a smaller power boat.
